# Setting Up a Business Buying Account (for A2A)

If you plan on using Amazon-to-Amazon (A2A) leads — buying discounted stock from Amazon and reselling it through FBA — you need to know this before you place a single order.

**Do not use your personal Amazon account for this. Ever.**

***

**Why your personal account is a problem**

Amazon explicitly prohibits buying from their platform with the intention of reselling. Using your personal account leaves a clear digital trail that directly connects your purchases to your seller account. If Amazon spots it — and they do look — you're looking at suspension or permanent deactivation. That's not a risk worth taking.

***

**What you need instead**

A separate **Amazon Business Buying Account**. This keeps your buying activity completely separate from your selling account, gives you access to business-only discounts, and lets you set up multiple buyers under one business which can help you get around quantity limits on popular products.

To set one up you'll need:

* Your Ltd company registration number
* A brand new email address that has never been linked to any Amazon account

Go to **business.amazon.co.uk** to register. Use a completely fresh email — not your seller account email, not your personal email.

***

**Keeping your buying account healthy**

Once it's set up, treat this account carefully:

* Don't request refunds or returns
* Don't report missing deliveries
* Don't cancel orders unnecessarily

Keeping your account clean increases your chances of being allocated an **unlimited buying account** — this allows you to buy unlimited units for a period of time. It's not guaranteed but it's a significant advantage if you get it.

***

**A couple of useful tips**

* Download the **Amazon Business app** — it's quicker and easier for purchasing than the desktop site
* Orders under £25 can qualify for free delivery to a local locker if you use **Subscribe & Save** — just remember to cancel the subscription after your order goes through
